Dutch Texels
In 2017 we expanded our farming enterprise with the introduction of a commercial flock of pure bred Dutch Texels.
Why Dutch Texels?
After looking at numerous breeds of sheep we decided the Dutch Texel would be the optimum breed to compliment the Suffolks and when cross bred would create a superior hybrid which sells well at market. Both the Dutch Texel and Suffolk are fast growing, have excellent carcass quality and are prolific. The Dutch Texel breed also claims to be the most heavily muscled meat sheep in the world.
